How the score works
A yoghurt with 10 g of protein from 60 calories is a protein food. A biscuit with 10 g from 480 calories is a treat wearing a protein label.
protein weightage = (protein grams × 4 ÷ total calories) × 100
Protein and carbohydrate each give 4 calories per gram, fat gives 9. The score is the share of the label's calories that come from protein, from 0 to 100.
